About CALIBER

Advancing Alcohol, HIV, and Biomarker Research

Translating Research into Impact

CALIBER works to reduce the harmful impacts of alcohol use on HIV transmission and HIV-associated health conditions. Through research grounded in both science and lived experience, the center explores how advances in alcohol biomarkers can strengthen our understanding of HIV-related outcomes andimprove support for affected communities.

Research & Innovation

Our work focuses on advancing the use of alcohol biomarkers to strengthen behavioralinterventions, improve translational research, and better understand theintersection of alcohol use and HIV-related health outcomes. By bridging scientific discovery with real-world application, we aim to support more effective prevention, care, and treatment strategies for impacted communities. CALIBER is committed to training and mentoring the next generation of alcohol and HIV investigators by fostering interdisciplinary learning, professional development, and innovative research opportunities.
